In The Beginning

Beginning a life-changing task, goal or journey can be an accomplishment few might ever dream of or resolve to do. One common denominator in any accomplishment is that nothing gets finished if it doesn't first get started. We can dream of the glory that will be bestowed upon us or the feeling of elation that lightens our steps and energizes us, but the fact remains, if YOU don't start, YOU don't finish. Taking that first step - whether mental or physical - can be one of the most daunting tasks of the whole journey, but it's where we all begin. We make a decision or a choice to do something that might just be outside our area of comfort. I'm living proof that a healthy lifestyle is contagious and that it doesn't have to hurt or involve huge sacrifices. I find great pleasure in helping people take that first step, no matter how small, because that first step is where it all begins. That first step may seem inconsequential in the grand scope of things, but from there the possibilities - through smart planning - are endless.

I formed this company based on the premise that no matter what your experience or current fitness level is, we all need access to Solid Advice from time to time. So who do you turn to when it comes to questions about how to best proceed or what approach and path is proper for you? As a society, we are constantly barraged with cookie-cutter information from so many media sources that do nothing to address the individual needs of the whole person. It's no wonder we falter or fail in our attempts at fad diets or some new "look-like-me-in-just-five-minutes-a-day" exercise routine. Solid Advice means cutting through the false promises or claims and getting to the heart of Wellness, Health, Fitness and Performance as it pertains to you and your lifestyle. My approach is simple: Discover what motivates you to find a common interest in the activities you do, then form a plan to achieve your goals based on what that motivation is.
Every beginner has questions when starting a lifestyle change that involves a new opportunity for a healthier, more physically fit self. How will I feel? How will I know if I'm getting better and if I'm doing things correctly? What equipment do I really need to get started? How will it impact the lifestyle I already live and time spent with friends or family? As a coach, I've been asked those questions and take on the responsibility of guiding you through the maze of fitness opportunities in single-sport, multisport or endurance events. As an athlete, I've also researched and/or tried the multitude of equipment offerings out there, and I continue to stay on top of new products so as to evaluate their worth. I understand your fears and concerns, as I have personally stood at those starting lines and asked myself, "What have I gotten myself into?" That said, let me show you how my experience can build a strong foundation on which to launch your life-changing Journey.
